TELFORD & DISTRICT AMATEUR SNOOKER LEAGUE

Minutes of meeting held at the Sir John Bayley Club on Thursday 15^th December 2016.

Meeting Opened : 7.33 pm.

Present : Rob Withington, Andy Kendrick, Noel Hitch, Dave Dudley, John Rawlins, Kelvin McLeod, Tony Morgan, Josh Devey, Chris Morgan Adams.

Apologies : Alan Turner, John Fallows.

Minutes Proposed / Matters Arising : NONE - Minutes not available from previous meeting

Chairman Report : Mr Rob Withington congratulated all team knockout winners and wished everyone a happy Xmas.

Treasurer Report : Mr Andy Kendrick reported that all cue fees had been collected and that no monies were outstanding.

Secretary Report : Not present.

Competition Secretary Report : Mr Noel Hitch stated that the competitions were going well and that breaks of 86 and 62 had been reported by Shaun Harris and Darren Weston respectively. The last 16 of the inter town competition is to takes place on Friday 20^th Jan 2017 with Telford A at home whilst the B and C sides are away.

It was noted that Eden Elite had failed to turn up for their first round Team Knockout match and therefore would be scratched from the competition all together and billed for the opposition cue fees in accordance with the rules.

A O B : Mr Andy Kendrick said that the Shropshire Star had been in touch to do an article on the Telford league but then, as usual, nothing had transpired.

Nr Noel Hitch informed the meeting that is was the semi and finals of the divisional individuals next week and he proposed that these matches were the best of 3. All present agreed to this.

Mr Josh Devey commented on the number of teams in the league reducing in numbers year on year and what could be done about it. He offered to set up a Facebook page for the league which could also offer some advertising at a later date. Chairman Mr Rob Withington said that this was a fantastic idea and that the league would be extremely grateful for his contribution.
