Minutes proposed.   Ken Davies Seconded: Steve Weatherall.

Matters arising.    Noel Hitch reported that he had enquired about the ban on Jimmy Langley from the Bayley Club, and the vote from the Bayley Committee was unanimous that the ban stayed...

Chairman’s report.   Chairman, Mr. Rob Withington said that he hoped everyone had enjoyed the first round of the competitions.

Treasurers' report.  Andy Kendrick said that cue fees were due at the next meeting.

Secretaries report.   Secretary reported that Maddocks A and Maddocks C had still not played their outstanding fixture.

Competition Secretaries report.  Competitions secretary Mr. Noel Hitch said that all preliminary matches had been done with two extenuating circumstances for two matches not being played, and two results still to come in. There had been double the entries’ but the same number of tables and Noel advised every-one to adhere to the timetables or risk being left out of further draws. Matt Davies had the highest break in competition so far. There had been a few moans about handicaps as usual, but the handicaps had proven to be correct, however, Noel would still monitor the handicaps as match cards came in.  Received email regarding individual players if played in “Cannot read the next three words”?

Next round draws would be done as soon as all results are in.  Noel also said he needed results in quicker or maybe we should return to fines/points deduction for late results. In view of the diminishing teams in the league, the Secretary didn’t think this was a good idea! Chris Griffiths had become the new captain of Shifnal E. The Maddocks A and Maddocks C match has too many implications at present for the league to intervene.

Post. None.

Future planning.   It was decided to see where we had previous presentations before we made the final decision on venue for the presentation which will be held on the 20th May.

A.O.B.  Alan Turner mentioned that he could not attend the next meeting and asked John Rawlings to take the minutes. Mick Reynolds also stated that it was ninety-nine percent certain that Paul Lloyd would be gathering a team to represent the Telford Inter-Town competition.

 Meeting closed 8.40.
