TELFORD & DISTRICT AMATEUR SNOOKER LEAGUE

 

Minutes of meeting held at the Sir John Bayley Club on Thursday 19th November 2015 .

 

Meeting Opened :  7.35 pm.

 

Present : John Rawlins, Rob Withington, Andy Kendrick, Noel Hitch, Ken Davies, Chris Morris, Steve Weatherall, Kelvin McLeod, Dave France(Maddocks) Stuart Taylor, Mick Reynolds, Dave France (Bayley), Tony Morgan, Josh Devey, Roy Adams, Mike Healey.

 

Apologies : Alan Turner, Dave Dudley, Willie Brown.

 

Minutes Proposed / Matters Arising : NONE - Minutes not available from previous meeting

 

Chairman Report : Mr Rob Withington congratulated all knockout winners, and commiserated with all losers.

 

Treasurer Report : Mr Andy Kendrick thanked all captains for their prompt payment of cue fees, he added that it was an excellent response.

 

Secretary Report : Not present.

 

Competition Secretary Report :  Mr Noel Hitch mentioned that the team competitions were coming along nicely, and a thank you for all match cards delivered on time. The individual comps were coming along too, but to remember that if games aren’t played by said date, players would be scratched from the competitions.

 

The over 55s would be drawn after the meeting.

 

Mick Reynolds asked if a named reserve would be eligible to play in doubles and trebles, after a discussion, and checking the rule book, it was decided that it couldn’t be done this year, but to bring it up at the next AGM so whoever plays in the first round, has to play all the way through.

Future Planning : It was noted that Shifnal club haven’t held the presentation night there for 8 years and would be looking into that for future nights.

 

Noel Hitch said that he had a word with the Bayley club about holding the presentation night there, and they are willing to let us have the room free of charge. It was voted and passed that this years presentation will be held at the Bayley club.

 

 A O B : Mr Rob Withington thanked John Rawlins for standing in as secretary in Mr Alan Turners absence.

 

The chairman also added that some support for the Telford team playing at Shifnal on 4th December in the inter town match against Sedgeley would be much appreciated.
