Minutes proposed.  Andy Kendrick. Seconded. Steve Weatherall

Matters arising.   None.

Chairman’s report.  Chairman offered thanks to every-one who helped with the presentation, and thought that it all went very well. Thanks  to Chris Morgan-Adams, Ken Davies, Andy Kendrick, Mike Healey for the photographs. Also Ken and the committee, and Pete Nolan for presenting the prizes.

Treasurer’s report.   The treasurer, Mr. Andy Kendrick also added his thanks for every-ones’ help. Andy also agreed that the presentation was far better than in previous occasions and the turn out had also been better this year. All in all, it was a very well balanced evening. The raffle had raised £127.

The treasurer said that all the accounts were up to date with just the donation for Keith Gardener to be added. During the report it was mentioned that four teams had not collected their monies, although they had all informed the treasurer that no-one was available to be at the presentation to collect the monetary prize.

Allan Davies had attended the meeting to forward his case for receiving the teams prize money. With the passing of Keith Gardener, Allan had been under pressure to try and field a team every week, and in view of Allan’s illness, this was becoming extremely difficult to manage. Allan had also paid extra cue fees out of his own pocket. After much discussion attendees of the meeting agreed that Allan should receive their teams prize. The other teams that had notified the treasurer they would not be attending, asked for their prize money to go towards the forthcoming cue fees. This was also agreed by the attendees.

Whilst agreeing this course of action the meeting felt that the outcome should not set a precedent for the future, and further debate will take place.

Steve Weatherall had also complimented Newport for turning up at the team play offs, adding that although the team had virtually disbanded, it was a nice gesture.

Secretaries report.   Secretary agreed with every-one that the presentation went very well.

Competition Secretaries report.   The competition secretary had sent apologies has he was on holiday, but in his absence, every-one had said what a great job he had made of this year’s running of the competitions.

Post.  Willie Brown had sent a very nice letter saying that he was moving away from the area, and could sadly no longer play in the Telford Snooker League.

Future planning.    None as present.
