Minutes of meeting held at the Sir John Bayley Club 18th Feb.

Meeting opened 7-36pm

Minutes Proposed, Last minutes of Jan to be proposed.

Matters arising. None.

Chairman’s report. Chairman, Mr. Rob Withington said he was pleased that snooker reports had been started again in the Shropshire Star, and also pleased that Matthew Davies’s break had been reported so well.

Treasurers' report. Andy Kendrick said that twenty out of twenty-seven teams had paid their cue fees and would expect the rest to settle in a couple of days. Andy also said that we should be collecting trophies back now in readiness for the next presentation.

Secretaries report. Secretary Mr. Alan Turner also seconded the Chairman’s comments about the snooker report.

Competition Secretaries report.

· Comps progressing really well and we have crowned our first champion of 2016 - Lewis Round defeated Ben Godding in the Under 25's Final

· U25's Finals night proved very successful evening with both semis & final played, nice atmosphere with quite a few spectators

· Draws for all comps were made at the U25's Finals night

· Over 55's - planned to do the same as the U25's but as one semi took over 3 hours for 3 frames I have moved the Final to Monday 29th Feb. Congratulations to both Willie Brown & Mick Reynolds for making it through and to Rob & Noel for reffing the semi finals

· Team KO & Cons Cup Semi Finals - I've decided to hold 1 team ko & 1 consolation cup semi final at Shifnal & the same at Bayley on the same night. This is to create a good atmosphere for everyone involved and so that there is a qualified ref on hand at both venues

· Trebles Semi Finals - both on Mon 7th March, 1 at Dawley & the other at Maddocks

· Adam Moore had a lovely 83 break in the Trebles Quarter Final

· Finals Diary - This is now available on the website under the comps tab. It is subject to change due to Willie & Frank's availability, West Mids & Player commitments etc. I have doubled up most Finals again to create a nice atmosphere but also due to time constraints and to allow a few reserve days in case of changes. Hopefully a few people will turn up to show support for the players achievements in reaching their respective Finals

· Anyone willing to help out at any of the Semi Finals and/or Finals nights please let me know or turn up, even if it is just to mark the board etc your help would be greatly appreciated
