TELFORD & DISTRICT AMATEUR SNOOKER LEAGUE

Minutes of meeting held at the Sir John Bayley Club on Thursday 21^st April 2016.

Meeting Opened : 7.34 pm.

Present : Rob Withington, Noel Hitch, Andy Kendrick, John Rawlins, Kelvin McLeod, Dave Dudley, Mike Healey, Steve Weatherall, Chris Morris, Ken Davies.

Apologies : Alan Turner, Willie Brown, Josh Devey.

Matters Arising : None.

Chairman Report : Mr Rob Withington offered his congratulations to the league and team knockout winners namely Shifnal, Eden and Maddocks and to all competition winners so far. He pointed out that the next meeting would be the night before the annual presentation and that we needed to finalise proceedings and would welcome any donations for raffle prizes.

Treasurer Report : Mr Andy Kendrick stated that only 4 teams were yet to pay the final instalment of cue fees and once again thanked captains for their prompt payment. He also said that due to cost savings the end of season awards for division 1 and 2 could be increased to £30 per place and £25 per place from the original £27 and £23 respectively.

Secretary Report : Not present - Mr Alan Turner had sent his apologies.

Competition Secretary Report : Mr Noel Hitch said that the individual competitions were mainly completed with just a handful of finals left to play. He re-iterated the dress code for all semi’s and finals after a couple of players had turned up in polo shirts.

Correspondence : None

Future Planning : Mr Dave Dudley said that there was a possibility of a team from Blymhill entering the league next season and asked if this was acceptable. The said area is in a TF postcode and therefore all agreed that this would not be a problem.

A O B : Mr Chris Morris asked if a copy of the match card could be posted on the website next season as the club he plays from had run out.
