Minutes of meeting held at the Sir John Bayley Club 19^th Mar.

Meeting opened 7-40pm

Matters arising. None.

Chairman’s report. Chairman said that he hoped every-one had enjoyed the season,

And also commented that if anyone had ideas about the format of next season, please say.

Treasurer’s report. The treasurer had sent a report that everyone had paid up as he was travelling to the meeting, and would be a little late.

Secretaries report. None.

Competition Secretaries report. Angus had reported that there were five finals in place and two to arrange. Where players were from the same club in competition with each other, Angus had given the players the option of their own venue, or a neutral venue to play at. Angus also stated that he didn’t get chance to arrange two finals at the same venue. There were to be two semi-finals at Maddocks and two at Shifnal. Both of the middle table would be closed for the competition.

Future planning. Everyone was happy to play without handbooks this season, and in the wake of the shrinking league it was also decided not to print match cards now that everyone could send results by mobile or email.

Once again the miss rule was discussed at length after a comment concerning the miss rule in a match played by one of Mike Wainwrights' players, was incorrectly called. Treasurer quoted the world rules of snooker, which after the event, made no difference as the match had reached its conclusion.
