Minutes of meeting held at the Sir John Bayley Club 15^th Jan.

Meeting opened 7-35pm

Matters arising. None.

Chairman’s report. Chairman wished everyone a happy new year and all the best in the continuing snooker season.

Treasurer’s report. The treasurer had said there were a few bits and bobs to come in, but other than that accounts remain the same.

Secretaries report. Secretary apologised for the absence of minutes as they had been lost during a mix-up in the placement of the rough draft.

Competition Secretaries report. Angus had reported that everything was going well and that all matches would be completed by the 6th of February. Angus also thanked Noel Hitch and Steve Weatherall for their help in making the draws.

Post. None.

Future planning. It was agreed that we would use the Dawley Social Club for the snooker presentation at the cost of £20-00 per hour. Dawley had helped some of the displaced teams from last season to play their matches at the Dawley club.

It was commented on that we had never paid at the Maddocks club, but on the other hand, Rob Withington thought it was a good idea to use other clubs for presentations and all agreed.

A.O.B Andrew Kendrick commented on this season being the worst for some time with results coming in late, if at all. The secretary commented that nine times out of ten, ringing players for result usually went to answer phone, and sometimes no response from emails.
