Minutes of meeting held at the Sir John Bayley Club 16^th Apr.

Meeting opened 7-42pm

Present. Alan Turner. Rob Withington. Mike Healey. Steve Weatherall. R. Hassell. John Rawlings. Tony Morgan. Angus Way. A. Kendrick.

Apologies: Noel Hitch. Dave Dudley.

Matters arising. None.

Chairman’s report. Chairman said that at the conclusion of this season, all competitions had been played and results posted to our website. Rob also gave his thanks to Angus Way for taking over as competitions secretary. Angus has had to give up the position due to starting a new job.

Treasurer’s report. The treasurer, Mr. Andy Kendrick stated that our current bank balance was app. £2916.00 and that referee costs and engraving would amount to app. £430.00. Cue fees were down by £500.00 but thanks to cost cutting we are only down by £100.00 on what we usually pay out. We had also saved a £75.00 fee on maintenance to our website.

Secretaries report. Secretary said he hoped every-one had enjoyed the season and added thanks to Angus for his term as Comp. Secretary.

Competition Secretaries report. Angus thanked the committee for all their best wishes for the future, and mentioned that Noel Hitch may be willing to take over the position of Competitions Secretary. Angus also reported that all finals had been played, and all in all, everything had gone well.

Post. None.

Future planning. Presentation is imminent and trophies were being collected. Engraving is to be put in hand. The committee decided to donate items for the annual raffle. Andy Kendrick has a running order in place, and Angus will be M. C. Again. The AGM will be held at the Bayley club on the 16th of July.

Mike Healey commented that Broseley may want to put a team back into our league this coming season. Steve Weatherall commented on what a good final took place between Bayley D and Shifnal D at the Maddocks club. Rob Withington asked about the formation of next seasons league. Andy Kendrick said he would bring a calendar to the next meeting to project how the season might progress once we had final registration of teams in.
