3. Officers Reports.

a)    Chairman’s Report

Chairman Mr Rob Withington thanked the league sponsors for their support and also both Maddocks club for holding the presentation and Mr Pete Nolan for helping to award the prizes.  He commented that there had been century breaks in both the league and competitions last season, a standard that other leagues would be proud of and that it would be good for future seasons if we could get back to 32 teams in the league.

            b) Secretary’s Report

Secretary Mr Alan Turner also thanked the sponsors as well as his fellow committee members and especially Mr Angus Way for stepping into the Competition Secretary role.  During the past season the league had lost four highly regarded members in Graham Darrall, Doug Morrey, Arthur Aston and John Jones who would all be sadly missed.  He commented that it was sad to see the league decreasing in number again but it was not solely down to lack of interest but also due to clubs closing down.  He also said that the presentation evening was a success but encouraged everyone to attend.

c) Competition Secretary’s Report

Competition Secretary Mr Angus Way read a report that had been sent via e mail from Mr Nigel Stallard in which he thanked all members that had entered competitions over the past 14 years and also the members that he had served with on the committee.  He also thanked all the referees that had made semi finals and finals such a special occasion and encouraged all members to support the league.

Mr Angus Way then went on to thank Mr Nigel Stallard for his work over the years and that with the members help he would continue to run competitions in a similar manner.  He also added that in future competition draws would be distributed via web and e mail and that draws would take place monthly.

d) Treasurer’s Report

Treasurer Mr Andy Kendrick thanked the league sponsors Mr Pete Nolan, Mr Barry Roden and Mr Andy Geary for their support and also for the two private donations made during the season which enabled the league to replace two perpetual trophies.  Although income was once again down on the previous season due to teams dropping out the shortfall had been made up by committee members honorariums and expenses dropping from £850 in the previous season to £450 this year.

Accounts presented and formally adopted by members.
