Matters arising.    None.

Chairman’s report.   Chairman, Mr. Rob Withington said that he was disappointed that a team had dropped out two days before the league was due to start, and thanked treasurer, Mr. Andy Kendrick for re-arranging the league fixtures at such short notice. Rob also commented on the sad loss of Graham Darrall.

Treasurers' report.  Andy Kendrick gave the following report: No change in the finances except for the cost of re-printing the fixtures after Second Club dropped out. Andy also commented on there being less funds this coming season, due to the latest drop out of afore-mentioned team. Andy also commented on the loss of Graham Darrall, who will be sadly missed by our team, and also commented that he was a true gentleman.

Secretaries report.   Secretary reported that Angus Way was prepared to captain the Telford Intertown side. Alan also said that he had known Graham Darrall for over fifty years, and one of the few sportsmen that had shown humility in his wins or losses. Andy and Alan said it would be strange turning up to play our first match without Graham.

Competition Secretaries report.  Competitions secretary Mr. Nigel Stallard said that he had held back on all competitions as there had not been many entries so far, especially in the under twenty ones. It was suggested that the rule concerning the John Bethel trophy was relaxed to admit more players into that competition, but everyone at the meeting agreed that the change in rules would have to be admitted as a proposal at the AGM. Nigel said that he would ask for views to see how we could possibly relax the rules for this competition to gain more entrants. As competitions were already subsidised, the committee considered a minimum entry of 16 entrants for the John Bethel, or consider that competition in abeyance this season but it was agreed that as nothing had been stated on the entry forms we would run with the competition despite the number of entries. Nigel also mentioned Graham Darrall, and everyone in the room agreed to the sentiments offered, so well known was Graham.

Post. None.

Future planning.   Just Intertown invites to various players to be addressed for entering a team.

A.O.B . In view of the team that had dropped out just before the league was due to start, Ken Davies suggested that any new handbooks supplied by the league should be paid for by various captains of their club at a charge of £5-00 per book.

Meeting closed at 8-42 pm.
