2014

Meeting opened 7-38pm

Present. Alan Turner, Mike Wainwright, Rob Withington, Pete Clarke, Andy Kendrick, John Banks, Terrie Askew, Angus Way, Steve Weatherall, Chris Morris

Apologies:   Nigel Stallard, Dave Dudley.

Minutes proposed.   Roland Hassell, Seconded, Andy Kendrick.

Matters arising.    None.

Chairman’s report.   Mr. Rob Withington welcomed Angus, and thanked him for standing in for Nigel Stallard. Rob also said that he had been very pleased for the attendance from so many teams to Arthur Aston’s funeral service.

Treasurers' report.  Mr. Andy Kendrick said that all but six teams had paid cue fees to date, and was sure that after a good response, the outstanding fees would be paid shortly.

Secretaries report.   None.

Competition Secretaries report.  Mr. Angus Way said that everything was up to date with the competitions. There were five finals in place, but none would be played at the Bayley Club because of the state of the tables, and the noise factor. Angus had said he will also be the M. C. again for this years presentation.

Correspondence None.

Future planning.   The presentation was in place, and although not having been able to contact Daniel Ballard, Maddocks had their own P.A. system which could be used. Most of the trophies had come back, with a total of five to be returned. Three of these were in the Bayley Club.

A.O.B.  Micheal Wainwright had asked about the team knockout competition handicaps, and it was explained that they were based on league positions. Steve Weatherall congratulated Michael Wainwright on his win in the final of their match, and also thanked the referee for refereeing the five frames. Steve also commented on how well the handicap system had worked.

Meeting closed at 8-13 pm.
