TELFORD & DISTRICT AMATEUR SNOOKER LEAGUE

 

Minutes of meeting held at the Sir John Bayley Club on Thursday 19^th December 2013.

 

Meeting Opened :  7.30pm.

 

Present : Rob Withington, Nigel Stallard, Andy Kendrick, Pete Clarke, Dave Dudley, Steve Weatherall, Dickie Oliver, Terry Askew.

 

Apologies : Alan Turner, Tony Morgan.

 

Minutes Proposed : Nigel Stallard             Seconded : Steve Weatherall.

 

Matters Arising : None.

 

Chairman Report : The chairman wished everyone a Happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year and hoped that we would not lose any more teams next year.

 

Treasurer Report : All cue fees had been collected and the only expenditure was just over £15 to renew the Telford Snooker domain name for another 3 years.

 

Secretary Report : Not Present.

 

Competition Secretary Report :  We are now down to the semi final stages of the team knockout meaning only 4 games left but we now only have 2 qualified referees.  It was agreed that we would try to organise a neutral referee for any games that did not have a first division team playing.

 

Correspondence : None.

 

Future Planning : (Presentation, AGM Rules, New Teams) – None.

 

 A O B : Mr Pete Clarke had attended the Inter Town match between Telford and Stafford and reported that the standard of play from the Stafford team was much higher and wondered whether it was worth even entering a team.  He also reported that someone had mentioned about reviving the Shropshire County Knockout.
