Matters arising.   John Banks asked about the suggested “Spit and Sawdust evening” and the treasurer commented that due to less funding with a shortage of three teams, that we could save money by just having aforesaid suggestion, for people to just turn up and claim their prizes. It was generally agreed that people didn’t seem to stay on after the prize giving anyway, and the league would save expenses with this idea.

Chairman’s report.   Rob Withington said he was disappointed that the league was three teams down, and asked for ideas to try and increase the league next season.

Treasurer’s report. Andy Kendrick reported that of the teams not paid were fined, and duly paid up their fines and fees. The finances were much the same, and regarding the inter town team, Mick Brezwyn had not been in touch, and Darren Pountney had offered to run a Telford team. There would only be one team from our snooker league this season. Andy Kendrick also stated that there was no provision on the website to deal with bye’s.

Secretaries report.  Alan Turner had said that people hadn’t yet realised that unlisted players on the results would not compute, and that he had mentioned this on the reports section so that teams could add the players name in the report section, when entering their result. No cards had been sent at all for the first week of the snooker league.

Competition Secretaries report. Not present.

Future planning.  None at present.

Post.  None.

A.O.B.   Alan to meet with Nigel to make competition draws. Committee agreed with this. Pete Clarke made a comment about Matt Davies 105 break at Shifnal, and said that all went quiet at the club whilst Matt was making his break.
