Minutes of meeting held at the Sir John Bayley Club 15th Nov. 

2012

 

Meeting opened 7-41pm

Present. Alan Turner. Nigel Stallard. Angus Way. Tony Morgan. D. Oliver. Terrie Askew. Rob Withington. Pete Clarke. Steve Weatherall. Andy Kendrick.  Dave Dudley. John Banks.

Matters arising.   None.

 

Chairman’s report.   Rob Withington thanked Sandra from 2^nd Club Trench for opening the club to allow him to play their trebles match.

 

Treasurer’s report. Andy Kendrick reported that twenty-two of thirty-three teams had paid up with this evening being the deadline. Andy said he would send emails and texts, and after a week, fines would come into play.

 

Secretaries report.  No report.

 

Competition Secretaries report. Nigel reported that everything was up and running and had chased a few players for results, but if any player hasn’t sent results in on time, they would be excluded from the competitions.

 

Future planning.  There was a lot of discussion concerning the annual presentation, but it was very difficult to structure the presentation to try and induce attendees to stay for the evening.

 

Post.  A letter had been produced by Joe Rixom, but it was deemed too late to deal with, as it was a week old. It was reiterated that mobile phones should be off during matches, players and referees included.

 

A.O.B.   It was mentioned that incentives may be given for people who organize divisional knockouts, but all agreed due to lack of funds, and interest, that it would not be appropriate at this time.
