Secretaries report.  No report.

Competition Secretaries report.  No report.

Future planning.   Out of thirty-three clubs approached, eleven proposed to keep prize money the same, and five to keep the presentation. Maddocks had offered their room for the presentation, “Whatever form it takes”, and the room would be available for a donation to the club.

The general opinion was that an evening without food and entertainment would be a better option due to the evening fading out prematurely. The 17th of May was suggested as the date for the presentation.

Post.   None.

A.O.B.    Dave Dudley had asked why the team knockout, and consolation cup draws had taken so long. Nigel Stallard replied that he had to finalise the handicaps. Bayley Z had claimed their match, as per rules, due to late appearances from Eden B.

Pete Clarke asked if referees had been decided yet and Nigel Stallard replied that it was in hand. Rob Withington asked if the scorecards could be change so that when they were folded for match draws, that it didn’t obscure any scores written down. Nigel Stallard said that the under twenty ones had leeway to re-arrange their date as long as it was before the due date.

John Banks stated that in the divisional matches, Simon Mcleoud had told Darren Wilkie that he would be late arriving for the match, due to shift work. Simon had rung the week before and said that he, Darren, could claim the match if he wanted to. Darren had said that it would be all right to play. On the evening of the match, two committee members were rung to complain that Simon was late arriving. It was a general assumption that Darren was coerced into claiming the frame.

It was felt that as this competition was a social night out, and not covered by our league rules, that this was not a very sportsman like gesture.
