Hadley A played hosts to maddocks E tonight, The first frame rolled back the years when john rawlins took on mark wall. John kicked off well potting some good long reds, but found himself struggling to find good position on the colours. A couple of unlucky in offs from mark saw john ooen up a bit of a lead,he then went on to take the colours up to the pink to win the frame 58-18. Frame 2 saw stevie clayton finding his form of old, with some wonderful potting, he went on to take the frame 80 -27,knocking in a lovely little 24 along the way. The 3rd frame was the match of the evening between hadleys ian eldridge against simon yeates. Simon went into an early lead, with some fine pots and clever safety, ian struggled to get off the mark for a while, but gradually got himself back into the frame. It was nip and tuck for the rest of the match as bith players cancelled each other out with some excellent play. Ian had a cut on the pink to win the match, but saw it come off the jaw,and leave it up for simon to take advantage, it looked like it was going the way of the maddocks team,as the black was on the spot, and simon had a cut to win. However, he managed to somehow overcut it,which is very uncharacteristic of him, the black came back towards the blue spot, and the cue ball came down towards the bottom cush, it looked safe, but ian had other ideas, as he got down and thrashed it into the bottom sack, a shot that any pro player would have been proud of. to win the frame by a single point 66-65. Frame 4 was between the in form stephen minshall, and tony garmson. Again some wonderful snooker from steve saw him go on to take the game 72 - 31. The final frame was between paul lloyd who had to travel from ellesmere in diuble quick time to take part in tonights event, and nick pearce. Paul as always, dominated from the front, he went into an early lead, and never really looked back, as he went on to a 76 - 31 victory, and to take the scoreline to 5-0 to the hadley boys.... thank you to a great set of guys from maddocks for making it an enjoyable evening, and good luck fir the rest of the season.

Division Two.

is this a league first the bayley team only had one cue between them they were running late and decided to not go to bayley to pick up their cues and all use rich bentings cue. it worked for the first frame as steve dawes beat frank williams on the black but then noel stones had breaks of 36 and a 25 clearance to beat rich benting, nigel wallcroft beat paul rhodes and stew wimbush beat al francis to put anstice 3-1 up.the last frame looked all over with billy watson needing a snooker and the last 3 colours to have a re spotted black against iain atkinson but he did it and got the re spotted black to make the final score anstice b 4 bayley z 1
