TOO MUCH FOR GARRY. FRAME & MATCH TO DAWLEY 3-2. WELL DONE
BAYLEY, COULD HAVE EASILY BEEN A DIFFERENT RESULT.
High flying hadley A played
hosts to maddocks C this week, the game kicked off with some
fine potting from hadleys steve clayton, who managed to pull
out a nice 52..16 win which included a run of 22 against a
struggling darren hoof.
Frame 2 saw some incredible
" rawlins specials " from the home skipper john
rawlins, who should really be nicknamed " midas "
after a good spell of lucky kisses, and snookers , and the
odd great pot, against the unlucky ash kent. The word "
sorry " was mentioned from john on numerous occasions,
along with the inevitable aching arm considering the amount
of times he held his hand up. John went on to take the frame
61...42.
The 3rd frame was a very
different sort of game, with some wonderful play from both
parties. Andy kendrick going on to beat james hayward 50
points to 40 . James even knocked in a well taken 27 break
along the way.
Frame number 4 was a low scoring
frame which saw maddocks skipper graham hoof take an early
lead against steve minshall, but in a nip and tuck game ,
minsh clawed his way back to take a 4 point lead with just
pink and black on the table, graham had other ideas as he
potted what can only be described as an incredible pink,
probably one of the shots of the season, throwing the cue
ball around the table to leave a very tricky black, which
somehow he duly potted to take the frame 41..37. Well done
graham !!
The final frame was a battle of
ages, as the two " old timers " alan turner and
joe oliver fought it out, these 2 have been around for so
long, they must have a combined age of about 372 between
them. The game started slowly , but joe certainly got
into his stride, taking on some amazing pots and getting
them. There wasnt alot poor old alan could do as he watched
joe go on to take the frame 48...13.
Final score: hadley A 3
v Maddocks C 2
Thank you to the maddocks lads
for a wonderful evening, which was played in the spirit the
game should be played....john.
