Shifnal
B needed a big win to keep up the pressure on leaders
maddocks, but gary owen made a good start, and some clean
potting helped him forge ahead of aaron, but from 30 odd down
aaron cleared the colours to nick the 1st. Matt was back to
his best and a superb 100 only faultered on a difficult last
red down the cush. angus was very careful not to leave tom
mullholland anything easy as tom is in great form, but an
early 30 break from angus gave him control of the frame and he
wrapped it up on the colours.Dan oliver gave Bayley a point on
the night with a good win over linsay knox, before john
fallows easily took the last frame to seal a solid 4-1 win for
Shifnal.
Hadley
A had thier good run stopped when they met Dawley A this week.
Sean Nolan started the ball rolling with a good win over Andy
Kendrick. Alan Turner then lost in a tight frame on the black
to Pete Nolan. Mick Reynolds with his usual one hundred and
one percent concentration beat John Rawlings. The next frame
saw Ian Eldirge, in fine form lately, beat Callum Wraight
including a 37 break. Last but not least, Steve Clayton,
although having a 24 break which could have been more, lost to
Mark Jones who potted very well. Back to the drawing board for
the Hadley lads?
