First
Division.
Shifnal
B started the match with a slim chance of taking the title,
but more realistically needed to better Anstice A\'s result to
take runners up spot.Angus Way got the ball rolling, and with
the \" skipper \" in fine form this season it was no
surprise he ran out an easy winner against an out of sorts but
very capable Phil Dix. Aaron Sparkes then added the second
frame, and in the process completing the second half of the
season unbeaten. Matt Davies started frame 3 probably thinking
a comfortable win was in order against Aaron McCann, but Aaron
played superbly, and after trailing by 20 points early in the
frame, at the end was faced with a long pink to take what
would have been a fine and much deserved scalp. However Matt
isnt top of the
win list
for nothing, and a superb long pink followed by a nervless
black gave Shifnal a 3-0 lead. Frame four saw John Fallows,
who has struggled for form this season by his own standards,
taking on Laki Badhan.John was determined to sign off with a
win, and a nice 44 break saw him take the frame comfortably.
With Hadley not fielding a fifth player for the second time
this season against Shifnal, the 5-0 result gave Shifnal the
runners up spot over Anstice by the slimmest of margins.
Congratulations to Broseley, who in beating Shifnal C 5-0 0n
the middle table, deservedly took the league title.
Shifnal

Second
Division,
Dawley
C v Eden G.
Wow!
Didn\'t expect to do so well in our first season in div 2!
I\'m very proud of the whole team as captain, however there
are great people and players in this league who have
contributed to this years performances, challenges, high breaks
and super consistency levels to provide a full season of
competitive snooker. May I wish everyone look in the future
with a \'rub-of-the-green\' outlook from Dawley C players...
