good
match this,as it usually is with a tough Hadley team. First
frame honours went to John Williams, who recorvered a 20
defecit to overhaul John Fallows and win well on the blue. 2nd
frame saw shifnal ramp it up with Matt Davies rolling in top
draw breaks of 66 & 55c to easily win against Mick Hughes.
Frame 3 saw Angus keep up the standard as breaks of 39 &
38c saw him run out a comfortable winner against Andy
Kendricks. Frame 4 saw no let up for Hadley, as this time it
was Aaron Sparkes with a lovely 56 break who ran out a
comfortable winner against Graham Darrall. In the last frame
Alan Turner didnt have the best of run, and Linsay Knox took
the last frame comfortably to give Shifnal a solid win.
Another
win for the Dawley side in their fight against the drop. Carl,
Sean & Mark came out firing in the opening three frames.
All had decent breaks which wrapped the match up for home side
with a 3-0 lead. Steve Powell played some good solid snooker
against Pete Nolan in frame 4 to get Grays on the board. Final
frame Rich Jones proved too strong for \'Chop\' Garbett. Match
score Dawley 3, Grays 2.

The
slump continues. No excuses just well beaten thoroughly on the
night by the better side. Back to the drawing board. Well

Bayley
Q vs Bayley Z. \"When Greek meets Greek, then comes the
tug of war\". The Bayley derby got started with Rob Cook
taking on Rich (tugboat) Benting, and not to disappoint a
lesser known proverb, Rich came out like a tug of war putting
in a stunning potting display. This left Rob a bit shocked and
he was unable to mount a fightback, leaving Rich to wrap up a
68-12 win. Frame 2 saw the regular match up of Steve
Weatherall vs Tony Morgan. Tony certainly would not have the
Norway tag tonight as Steve was giving points away for free, a
school boy error in off the break, missing a black from his
own snooker plus two more in off\'s after potting reds. Only
the fact that Tony could not get going allowed Steve back into
the frame. More fouls for both players followed until Steve
took a who dares wins final pink to come out 56-47 on top.
Frame 3 with Noel Hitch taking on Paul Rhodes, and with Noel
reclaiming some of his earlier season form as well as playing
some smash and grab snooker to leave Paul little chance which
meant Noel won 67-16. Frame 4 saw Chris Durham vs Iain
Atkinson and with only one of the two watching their alcohol
consumption up to this point, Chris forged ahead to win 44-12,
and all but ended the potential move to the Z team in the
transfer window because of that showing. Frame 5, Lee Newton
taking on Al Francis with both players going blow for blow in
a tense frame only decided with a potting spurt at the end in
Lee\'s favour to win 50-30. It was all Greek to the Bayley Q
as they won 4-1 in a well fought match, leaving the Z lads
claiming daylight robbery.
