Division
One.
A
tightly contested match that turned in Broseley\'s favour when
Simon Mcleod came back from nealry 50 behind to pip the second
frame. Well played John Williams and Neil Caswell.
Division
Three.
Bayley
Q vs Allscott. \"A bad workman blames his tools\" or
some might say. Frame 1 saw Jimmy Langley vs Dan Brentnall,
with Dan drawing the short straw on the night as he found
Jimmy on good form. Jimmy built up an early lead, and
continued on including a potential current high break of 43 in
the division, taking the first frame. Frame 2 with Noel Hitch
taking on Dave Finney, saw Dave open up a lead as he continued
some steady potting. Noel played some impressive snookers
later on but Dave continued to have the measure winning the
2nd frame. Frame 3 saw Steve Weatherall playing the injured
Kev Waland. Kev (I want to break free) Waland had managed to
lose a battle with a hoover which ended up with a fracture to
his arm, taking off the protective covering to play his match.
Fortunately Kev managed to control his cue better than the
hoover, by taking an early 24 break. Steve played some pot and
go safety to claw his way back into a lead on the colours. But
it was Kev who potted an assured blue, pink and long rest
black to clean up the frame. Frame 4 had Lee Newton vs Nick
Gwynne which started off quite close, but Lee never likes to
be left out on a night of breaks putting in a 26 which helped
win the frame. At 2-2 it was between good friends and rivals
Rich Tranter vs Chris Bates to decide the match. This was
always going to have twists and turns, going down to the final
black, with Chris getting the final ball. This of course
sucked more than the hoover as Allscott had won 3-2 and done
the double over the Bayley Q. Good luck lads for the rest of
the season and a speedy recovery to Kev \"hoovenator\"
Waland.
