Shifnal C 3-2 Dawley A. First match nerves were on show tonight.The first frame started with Carl Walker having the best run of the balls to win 71-17.Richie Heighway never really getting on the table. In the second Alex Nolan scored well with every visit to beat Chris Lawson 96-42.Frame 3 was a turning point as Shaun Lane potted well to beat the very unlucky Pete Nolan 59-29.In frame 4 Colin Gittus won 56-32 over Graham Wiley who had no luck what so ever.In the last frame Sam Drake beat Andy Garbett in a close frame where after the all the reds potted the score was only 29-21.Andy potted the yellow but thats where it ended as Sam the finished off the other colours to win 54-23.

A shocking start to the season for the Anstice lads who showed no form at all to suggest they will be at the business end of the league. Two nice breaks from Laki & ken 38 & 42 the highlight of the evening. Well played Hadley who probably should have won all 5 games !

What a start for shifnal B. Matt davies, after early exchanges came to the table with a possible 107 available, and produced a flawless 105 clearance to post an early contender for the high break prize. John fallows and Steph adams had a good frame, with john\'s early 30 break keeping him in control, but SWMBSA regular Steph pushed him all the way before John sealed the frame on the blue. Arron, again with an early 30 break, was in a 40 point lead over Darren, but darren fought back well leaving Arron needing a pink/black combination to force a re-spot.He duly sunk a great black to seal the win for Shifnal.Next up the skipper, Angus was taking on Steve Weir.Some lovely early pots from steve gave him an early lead, but a tight frame ensued, and with Angus having the better chances he pulled away to win comfortably.Last up saw Linsay taking on maddocks skipper Ian,and with plenty of chances going begging for both players it was linsay who pulled away to take the frame and seal a great 5-0 start for Shifnal.Maddocks can feel quiet aggreived, as the score was unfair to them, but they will have plenty of good results with this team.
