Hadley
B made home advantage count to press home a 5-0 win. Ken Booty
got Hadley off to a flyer against Phil Whitby and with Phil
Dix winning a scrappy frame against Craig Baugh, the signs
looked good for Hadley, Tom Mulholland then took advantage of
Ben Sewell\'s misfortune to make it 3-0, Ben had done well to
come back and square the scores up on the black ball but after
rattling the black saw the cueball go off unluckily. Darren
Pountney then got up early against Kevin West and never looked
back to make it 4-0 and Laki Badhan rounded the evening off
with a fine win against Dickie Beddall.

Bayley
Z sunk to a new low after this defeat by their Junior team ,
consisting of 3 players who only picked a cue up 3 months ago
! Paul Rhodes , who was obviously suffering from a
debilitating illness (?)which necessitated taking in copeous
amounts of alcohol to ease the pain (!) , lost the 1st frame
of the evening to Jimmy Langley 57-15 , things got better
after that when \'Norway-Lily\'Morgan beat Paul\'s son Callan 60-16 , but that was the best it got as
\'Tugboat\' lost the will to live after losing 59-28 to young
Dan Lane . Allen Francis fared no better against \'lil\'sh\'Ryan
Dudley , who , unlike his dad , showed some good
potting ability in winning his frame 49-32. It was left to
Iain Atkinson to try & salvage some pride for the Z\'s ,
however he contrived to throw his match away with some wayward
snooker , losing to Ryan Shelvey 32-62. All-in-all a very
poor
showing from the Z\'s , but many congratulations to the
Juniors .
Anstice
C welcomed Bayley Q to Madeley this week with both teams keen
to start well after last weeks break. In the first frame it
was the home sides Chris Woods who got off to the best start
and he never looked back winning 67-9. The next frame saw Paul
Devey, by his own admission, playing some of his best snooker
for a while but unfortunately for him Chris Durham was also in
good form and it was the Bayley player who came out on top to
level the scores. Unbeaten to date Danny Evans kept his record
intact to restore Anstice\'s lead, winning 77-28. The fourth
frame was a cracker as the impressive Lee Newton looked to
have done enough to draw his side level as he led by 30 then
27 with just the colours left on the table. However, Andy
Elliott had other ideas as he drew on all his experience
laying a snooker to gain the vital 4
points before taking all the colours for a 48-44
victory which received applause from both teams. In the final
frame Rich Tranter played well to reduce the deficit to just
one frame, leaving a very tight and entertaining match
finishing Anstice C 3, Bayley Q 2
