Division
One.
The
table at Eden is proving to be the best home team table in div 1 as the Bayley boys
struggled to come to terms with it. The 2nd frame proved
pivotal as Lee Harris held his nerve to pot a good black to
beat Danny.
Not
a lot to say this week but the miss rule spoiled a good night of banter yet again! Sean Nolan
won comfortably against Phil Cottey. Alex Nolan lost to Lee
Elcock with the assistance of the miss rule. Pete Nolan went a
few behind against Jesse Lowe but had a nice little 25 break
to put himself back in the frame, only for Jesse to play some
good snooker and run out comfortable winner for Dawley \'D\'. Graham \"The Taxi
Driver\" Wiley then played well to take the match for
Dawley \'D\' by beating Andy Garbett. Final frame Mark Jones
played Stu Russell. Stu played the better snooker in this
frame but with help from the dreaded miss rule the Dawley
\'A\' player managed to scrape a point back for the \'A\'
side. Match Result Dawley \'A\' 2, Dawley \'D\' 3.
Division
Two.
Welcome
to the Chris painter
show. Having shown the way with some great potting Shifnal F
knocked the stuffing out of Shifnal C with three quick fire
wins. Shifnal C did recover and win the last 2 frames but
thanks for the lesson Chris.
Division
Three.
Coming
off the back of a seven game losing streak, Bayley Z, made it
eight in a row! With an emphatic defeat by Anstice C,
\'Tugboat\'Benting started off poorly, had a decent middle
& finished the frame poorly losing his match 24-61 against
Andy Elliott. Paul Rhodes then took on Carl Woods, however
after an hour or so finally conceded his frame 33-64. Tony
Morgan or \'Norway\'or more lately known as \'Lilly\'(after
missing an easy pink), continued his poor run of form beaten
20-50 by Noel Hitch. Al Francis continued the rot losing 19-64
to Danny Evans. It was left to the under fire \'manager\'of
the team, Iain Atkinson, to restore some pride & avoid
another whitewash,
AND, despite cries from the touchline of \"you don\'t
know what you’re doing\'and \'sack the manager\’, put all
that behind him to record a convincing 72-33 defeat of Danny
Weaver.
Newport
entertained Dawley this week and kept up recent poor form. This lot cant buy a win at the
moment, despite a good win from Wai \'rusty\' Loon Loo. Rush,
Cockney and Mo all lost to decent opposition, Brian McMillan
winning frame 4 to make the score respectable.
Thanks
to the teams that sent in the reports.
