Maddocks
C up against Coddon B this week and the 1st frame went to the
visitors with Kirk Stevenson beating an under the weather
Steve Hassack 47-31 . Darren Wilkie continued his good form
and levelled matters when beating Dale Blagborough 70-27. The
3rd frame between home player Graham Hoof and Mick Egan was a
prolonged affair due to a number of "misses" with
Mick finally taking the frame on the black 73-69 . The home
side then drew level with Joe Oliver again playing well in
comfortably winning 56-22 against Mick Pearson . This left Ian
Cleary to win the final frame and the match for Maddocks by
beating an out of sorts Neil Pearson by 47-10 .

Hadley
A produced what must be the shock of the season so far when
they faced one of their old adversories Bayley Q, winning 4-1
, although the evening started off in the usual fashion when
"Tugboat" Benting lost 38-49 to Rob Cook . Then the
beer kicked in & Danny Francis won his 1st frame of the
season defeating Lee Newton 67-30 which included a 22 break .
Tony Morgan then continued his mini-revival beating the
previously undefeated Steve Weatherall 54-45 again including a
24 break. Allen Francis ,not wanting to be outdone by his son
,then won his 1st frame of the season 44-26 against Chris
Fletcher. More beer followed as Iain Atkinson finished the
night off (& nearly the early morning) in a dour struggle
against Richard Tranter , a low scoring match ending in
victory to Iain 37-32. The Hadley boys are on the way up ,not
wanting to end the season pennyless !!!
