Match Report - 26th January 2011

Division One.

Tight at the top of the table this week with both teams locked on level points. Antice took on LDS A side at home, and Ian Duffy secured the first frame, with Keith Price making it two. Neil Price added the third, with Shaun Harris putting Antice 4-0 up. It was Ade Henry, who is in good form at the moment, who stopped the white wash with a win over Simon Yeates.

Division Two.

 Second versus Third tonight, and Bayley B came out of the blocks the quickest with a great performance by Tom Mullholland, a couple of 20+ breaks, beating Kev Whitehead, making it 1-0 to Bayley. Not to be deterred, Ken Booty was in form taking out a below par Kev West, levelling things up and when Jon Wright beat Dan Oliver, the tables had turned towards Hadley. Laki Badhan then potted everything to defeat Ben Sewell, and Darren Pountney rounded things off with a convincing win against Dickie Beddall. 4-1 to Hadley B and a gap starting to appear at the top of the division.

Division Three

 The two teams also vying for honours in this division were pitted against each other at the Newport venue this week. After this match the table shows them level. Noel Stones got the away side to a winning start, with Nigel Wallcroft adding a second.The match win was secured by George Hammond, but in the next it was Steve Speake getting one back for Newport. The last Frame also went to Newport with this frame going to Les Stirling.
