Newport
B maintained their wining form this week when they were the
home team playing Bayley Q. Colin Farge opened for Newport and
gained victory61-55 over Chris Durham. The next frame between
Allan Davies and Chris Fletcher was also very close, and this
one also went to the Newport side. Wayne Weeks made it 3-0 in
the next with Newport looking good. However, things turned in
the next frame when Steve Weatherall got the better of Steve
Speake to pull a frame back for the Bayley side. In the last
frame of the evening, Richard Tranter had a very good win over
the experienced Les Stirling to make the score line a
respectable 3-2.

Antic
A are at the top of this division, and they recorded a
comfortable 5-0 when they were pitched against Coddon B at
Madeley. Ian Duffy recorded a 53 break whilst beating Kirk
Steventon, and making a rare appearance, Tom Maxfield then
beat Mick Pearson for Antic to go 2-0 up. Neil Price continued
the run beating Mick Egan with Shaun Harris then disposing of
Dale Blagborough. Simon Yeates completed the white wash
beating Neil Pearson.

Top
of the table clash this week saw Shifnal F take on promoted
Hadley B. at the War Memorial Club. Hadley B are one point in
front in this seasons campaign, and finding this division a
better challenge. Chris Petford lost the first frame to Ken
Booty from Hadley but teammate Dave Peplow won in a tight
frame with Darren Pountney. Spencer Rowley then Lost to Laki
Badhan to give Hadley a 2-1 lead. Chris Painter
levelled the match, and also made a 34 break as he beat Dave
Smout. Rob Wright beat his namesake Jon Wright in the final
frame to give his side the victory.
