DIVISIONAL
INDIVIDUAL RESULTS
A
week off from league duties to complete the divisional
individual competitions.
The
division one title goes to Keith Price from the Anstice A side
who beat an in form Angus Way from Shifnal B.
In
division two the first semi final saw Chris Lawson from the
now deposed Little Dawley club beat Lee Harris from Eden.
The second semi again involved an Eden player in the
shape of Mick Reynolds who suffered the same result as his
team mate being beaten by Chris Morgan Adams from Bayley. In the final Chris Lawson then potted off the lamp shades to
beat the other Chris two nil. Chris Lawson potted extremely
well and was in control of most of his matches throughout
the competition and is a deserving winner.
It’s
a case of ‘hold the front page’ in division three as due
to the excellent response from players they were only able to
get down to the final. Roy
Francis from Hadley saw off Bayley man Dave Dudley in his semi
and will meet another Bayley player in Jim Lewis in the final
to be arranged another night.
COMMITTEE
NEWS: There are a
couple of issues that need raising.
Firstly,
over the
past month we have been short of several results every week
meaning that the league tables are being published incomplete.
This is frustrating for everyone! Please ensure that your
match card is posted in time to arrive no later than Saturday.
Alternatively you can enter the result via the website or even
email or text the result including players and frame scores to
either Andy or Alan. During the closing stages of the season
it will become more important to have every result in on time
so that teams can see their true league position.
Also
will team captains please ensure that they do not enter a
players name onto the match card unless he is present at the
venue and ready to play. We have recently had two disputes
which have arisen because of a failure to comply with this
ruling. If you do not have a full team in attendance you MUST
notify the opposing captain and therefore both of you can
enter only names present and complete the card as and when
players arrive.
Finally
the competition draws have been made and can be viewed on the
website. The team
knockouts are as follows (handicaps will be awarded the week
before the match):
