Tim turned out to be the only winner for little Dawley by beating Mick and finally Simon Mcloud completed the victory for his side with a win over Lee Elcocks.

Minnesota A at home, seem to be finding some rhythm now, when they entertained Bayley E, another good side who still seem to be struggling with their form to date so far this season. Minnesote Fats A recorded a 3-2 result with Mick and Neil Pearson alongside of Dave Kusnieez being the winners for Minnesota Fats and John Squire and Dave France winning for Bayley E.

Shifnal A at home to Codden B completed a whitewash over their opponents, having a 5-0 victory which takes them to second in the table.

Maddocks A were away to Dawley Social and came away with four points. Dawleys’ only winner being Rick bailey who had a convincing win over Leigh France.

Wellington Billiard Hall A, who at present are fielding a bit of a makeshift side, lost at home to Shifnal B by the odd point. Matt Davies for Shifnal opening their account by a margin of 77 points against Az Khan. Next on for Wellington was Andy Yates who suffered the same fate, beaten 61-17 by Chris Petford. Graham Darrell managed to pull one back beating Rob Wright, with Alan Turner having a dismal display against Ray Evans who eventually won the game on the pink. Andy Kendrick for the hall then played Dave Peplow who looked a little out of touch and Kenny won by 47-19.

Finally, Anstice A played their D side and had a convincing 5-0 victory, which illustrated the difference between the two teams.

In the second division now with Anstice C who played away to Codden C. An evenly fought match but Codden winning the match in the final frame 3-2.

The third division saw Bayley B at home to Little Dawley X. Kelvin McLeod took an early lead in his game with Phil Padmore picking off pinks and blacks and playing some solid safety. Unfortunately Phil was unlucky with a few in offs and Kelvin won the game on the blue ball.

Kevin West started steadily enough in his game with Jason Hickman. Jason got the first point on the board then after a brief exchange Kevin picked up 10 points and then knocks a superb 48 break in to seal the game.

Next up were the two youngsters 19 year old Danny Oliver playing 14 year old Ryan Jackson. A tough frame this one, as all the colours got tied up during the game. After a few unfortunate in offs the frame finally went to Danny, but young Ryan looks to have a bright future in the snooker league.

Three nil up now and Dicky Bedall opened up a 30-point lead against Alex Boyd. Although Alex got himself back in the frame with a 15 point break Dicky overcame Alex Boyds’ stubborn resistance to make it 4-0 to the Bayley side. In the last game it was up to Richard Davies to prevent the Little Dawley side going home empty handed, and what a game it turned out to be. Some excellent safety saw Dicky Oliver go into a 14-point lead and then Richard replied with a 28 break. Another break of seventeen by Richard left Dicky in more trouble, but after getting three snookers he was back to a 15-point deficit with the last three colours on. After all the hard work Richard finally took the blue and pink securing a point and preventing the whitewash.
